Pine Needles

This intimate mosaic was a translation of a photograph that I took of pine needles covering the surface of a bird bath. I was drawn to the quick, immediate shifts in flow while the needles were broken by areas of water. I enjoy working with dynamic lines and was interested in how the image might challenge me in mosaic. Pine Needles was featured in the 2017 Mosaic Arts International Exhibition.
